Topic: "Cyber Communication: Progress or Problem?"
Eligibility: Students under the age of 16 as of December 31, 2009.
Deadline: Please contact your local sponsoring club.
Club Contests: Recognition at the club level are medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place, Boys and Girls, purchased through Shumsky. Clubs are now allowed, in their discretion, to give monetary awards of up to $500 to their contest winners in addition to the official medallions. Contest must be completed on or before March 13, 2010. Clubs should notify the Lt. Governor immediately of the names of their winners.
Zone Contests: Recognition at the Zone level is with Certificates ONLY, which will be provided to the Lt. Governors by the District Committee. Winners at the Zone level will be recognized at the Regional contests. Contest must be completed on or before April 3, 2010.
Regional Contests: All regional participants will be given a plaque, provided by the District Committee, recognizing that they were the winners at the Zone level. Winners at the Regional level will be recognized at the District contest. Contest must be completed on or before April 24, 2010. The names of all regional winners must be submitted to the District Chair by May 1, 2010.
The District finals will be held at the 3rd Quarter District Conference on May 15, 2010 at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in Columbus, Ohio. All District participants will receive a plaque, provided by the District Committee, recognizing that they were the winners at the Regional level.
