Fellow Ohio District Optimists,
Please join us for our First Quarter, Ohio District Optimist Conference, which will be held on October 16 – 17, 2026, at the Embassy Suites, 5100 Upper Metro Place, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
As we begin our New Optimist Year, this is our first opportunity to come together to connect, celebrate, and share information about the great things our Clubs and Members are doing across the Great Ohio Optimist District. I’d like to thank Immediate Past Governor, Debbie Walsh, and her 2025-26 District Team, for all their help and hard work as we transition to the New Year. And, a sincere thanks to our 2026-27 District Executive Team, Lt. Governors, Committee Chairs, and everyone else who has stepped up to help during the upcoming year!
In an effort to increase interest and attendance at our district conferences, the Ohio District will have a financial incentive program for first time conference attendees. At each conference, the District will select a “first timer” from each Zone and reimburse them for the cost of their conference registration. The winners will be selected by the Lt. Governors and announced at the conferences. For more information or questions regarding this initiative, contact District Secretary/Treasurer, Sharon O’Neil.
Members attending conferences with non-member guests are also encouraged to make note of this when registering for the conferences. This will allow us to arrange activities for these guests if interested during the conference times. Please remember that these guests are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend hospitality events, and the Saturday dinners and activities with the purchase of a dinner ticket.
Registration details, costs and the tentative agenda are included in this Official Call. Please note that the deadline to reserve an overnight room if needed at the Embassy Suites is fast approaching. To guarantee a room and the discounted rate at the Embassy Suites, please make your reservation by September 25th.
